What a perfect little newborn baby boy!  Grandmom tells me the baby comes from a family of firefighters and it was a pleasure and an honor to photograph this little guy donning Daddy's work clothes.  He curled right into the fireman's hat and slept - a composite photo of course for safety.  He slept so well through most of the session and was such a precious little bundle.  My string of smiley babies sure continued with this little guy - he gave me quite a few smirks and smiles with his little lips during his session always just before he dozed back off.

And sometimes you hit the jackpot of sunsets!  These were taken while riding along Assateague and looking at the wildlife in their natural state.  I saw the horses eating along the roadside and parked a safe distance away to shoot without getting close to the wild animals.  They are magnificent creatures to observe and the sun painted the most beautiful light along their backs as they ate.  So lucky to live so close to such a beautiful place :)

One of the smiliest babies I have had to date!  He smiles so many times throughout his session and slept so well for me to take his photographs.  What a sweet little guy!  Momma is a redskins fan so we tied a little football into his newborn photos.

I tried my hand at extravagant firework photography this year and the results of my first try were pretty good.  I enjoyed watching the flares come through my lens and dictating how long for my camera to exposure each individual one.  This was a much different pace than my normal portraiture photography but I enjoyed it.  I used a tripod and trigger to keep from getting camera shake on these shots.  These are a few of my favorites from the night.  We watched the Showell Fireworks from SonRise Church in Berlin, MD.
