What a glorious night on Assateague Beach for maternity photos.  We started on the shore and caught some amazing backlit sun shots and walked along the beach before ending on the bayside and dipping our toes in the water and getting a little wet.  We had a great time playing with the flawy gown and cool breeze, the wind gave us the right amount of movement to pull off some fun shots!  Congratulations to this beautiful new mama to be, I wish her the best of luck with the rest of her pregnancy, she came all the way to Ocean City for her beach maternity photos before baby comes.

Have you heard the new excitement around town?  Kyle Hughes of Next Wave Studios and I have teamed up to bring you the best in wedding photography!  Imagine having two master photographers take care of your special day from beginning to end?  Well that is just what we did for the this lucky couple!!!  We started the day at a friend's house in Snow Hill where she got ready with all of her bridesmaids and then followed them over to Furnacetown for a beautiful wedding in the chapel on Furnacetown grounds followed by a very fun reception under the large pavilion on the grounds!  The weather was perfect, not a drop of rain or cloud in sight and with the June air and shaded trees, guests had a lovely time sipping on their drinks and enjoying the sights that Furnacetown has to offer.

Ocean City, MD Studio Maternity Photos, 9 Months Pregnant | Dana Marie Photography

This gorgeous new little mama is 9 months pregnant and having her baby today!  I loved having her in the studio on Friday for some maternity shots, she had the cutest little baby belly!!!  Miss D was the first studio client I shot in the new studio in Teal Marsh Shopping Center.  With fresh paint on the walls and us still moving in, she and her family got a sneak peak at the greatness coming very soon to West Ocean City!

What an amazing evening we had shooting during sunset on Assateague.  2015 has been full of beautiful sunsets and tonight was no exception.  The photos are tonight are stunning and with the sun giving us just the right light we couldn't have placed an order for better weather!  Her wedding is coming in October and it is sure to be a gorgeous affair!  I sure can't wait to work with them again :)

Loved meeting this couple!  While we were going to shoot last night the weather didn't cooperate and what a gorgeous night we had tonight in it's place.  The weather could not have been more perfect and they even braved the cold water temps for some fun water shots.  I loved capturing their love for one another on camera and seeing their relationship through my lens.  Towards the end of the evening he told me this had been a lot of fun.  He said he dreaded it and thought it would not be anything like this but that he even enjoyed himself, that made my night to hear!

It is not too late to have senior photos done for the Class of 2015.  I enjoyed spending time with this young man and learning about his Senior Year activities.  I was excited when his Mama told me that he was a firefighter cadet with the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Dept.  We took his photos on Prom day so he was able to bring in his tux from Prom.  This young man has a bright future ahead for him and I am happy to have met him in my studio for Senior Portraits.

Hidden away just a 15 min drive South from Ocean City is Assateague Island.  With its pristine beaches and wild horses, Assateague is sure worth the visit while you are in town!  It's gorgeous setting provides the most beautiful backdrops for your family photos and hiring Dana Marie Photography for your photos you will be in luck - I have a permit to shoot here!  I loved playing with this family on the beaches in May, this was my first Assateague session of the year and the sunset did not disappoint!  I loved capturing the warm glow of the sun off their faces and hair line!  I can't wait to get back here again!
