Ahhhh, the calm before the storm!  Taken Thursday night, the night before the winds of Tropical Storm Hermine were set to make their appearance in Ocean City, MD we had an amazing time taking maternity photos on what felt like a beach nearly to ourselves.  The waves ripped and roared but the wind wasn't terrible and was even nice to give her hair a little bit of movement.  Storms bring some of the coolest sunsets and this was no exception!

I loved shooting these sunrise maternity photos on the beach of Ocean City, MD.  We met about 5:45am on the beach and enjoyed watching the sun break the horizon together.

Loved meeting this family for maternity family portraits.  Set in a West Ocean City park setting, the weather was a crisp fall afternoon and the kids loved walking through the woods to our destination.  Can't wait to meet her sweet babe in January!

This was a really fun evening for me.  This sweet couple came for maternity photos and we started in the studio and then headed over to the Ocean City inlet to catch a few sunset portraits.  I loved the way the light glowed off Mama in this stunning navy and white dress.  We had a lot of fun dodging sand and bringing their other baby out onto the beach with us.  Can't wait to meet their sweet girl next month!

I loved taking these photos, they were some of my favorite maternity photos to date.  I loved playing out on the farm property just outside of Ocean City, MD and getting that country feel and this super Mama Pilates Studio Owner & Instructor looks like a Country Music Star!  She glowed in this gorgeous plum maternity gown by @Sew Trendy and brought her own really cool lace top and jeans to rock for a second look.  Hair and Make Up was done by the fabulous Andrea Bounds Make Up and we had a really good time playing in the fields with my camera!  Can't wait to meet her sweet girl coming in just a few short weeks!

Such a fun session!  I loved her idea of wearing her wedding dress as a skirt and bringing a scarf for a top.  My maternity clients know how much I love playing "Project Runway" with them and fabrics laying around the studio so when she came armed with her own I was excited to try something new!!  It was a new spin on Trash the Wedding Dress Sessions I currently offer.  The sunset colors picked up the peach and cream tones in her dress so beautifully!  What a great time we had playing in the sand and in the water on Assateague located just fifteen minutes outside of Ocean City.

This gorgeous mama to be and new native to the shore was drop dead gorgeous in the teal blue gown she brought to wear for some of her photos.  When she stepped out of the car I was like wow, what a beautiful Mama, you could see the glow in her eyes!  Her daughter aged 5 and son aged 11 were excited to take part in the session and had a great time on the beach with me!
