Christmas Already? Mini-Sessions are Here!!! | Dana Marie Photography, child Christmas photos

I know what you are thinking, really Christmas already?  To ensure you have your photos in plenty of time for the holidays this is the time to be thinking about Christmas photos.  What a blast this year will be!  5 mini-sessions were already scheduled this year before I had even purchased the backdrops!!!  I love clients who think of me and love coming back!  Here is a sampling of the Holiday Mini-Sessions being offered in my West Ocean City studio.  Minis must be booked on or by November 30 to ensure time to make your own prints, cards and gifts with for Christmas.  There is a discount when multiple sessions are booked back to back as that saves me time and money and that savings is passed on to you.  Weekend appointments are booking up fast so if you need a weekend date please don't wait to call.  Turnaround time on images is about a week.  There is room for family portraits on the cream backdrop but the red and green set ups are much smaller and are meant for children or close ups only.  Due to the amount of time allotted, single families only please for mini-sessions, please plan to book a double block or contact me for pricing on multiple families getting done together or consider an outdoor family session for that.  Excited to see so many of you in the studio this month!!!

I couldn't have been more excited to get this family in front of my lens in my Ocean City Studio.  I photographed their wedding a few years ago and while we hadn't remained in contact she surprised me with a phone call last week telling me they needed photos of their new baby girl just 16 weeks old!  I jumped with glee and excitement for them and couldn't wait to meet her and see their family again!  I love when clients come back, even years later they still think of me as their go to girl and that feels good!!!

Ocean City, MD Park Maternity Photographer | Dana Marie Photography

Oh what a good time we had chatting away during this pretty mama's maternity session!  We started with a sunset session at a local park and finished up in the studio just a few miles away.  She showed up with a multi-colored print dress from one of my favorite shops - BomShell Boutique in Ocean Pines, MD.  I can't wait to meet her little girl in December!

I love this image below.  I have started trying a painted effect on some of my images for added pop, it doesn't work on every image and client's will be able to choose if they want this type of edit and on which images but I am really liking the results!

What a cutie pie!  We had a great time taking photos in a local park for Fall/Holiday.  This 7 month old little firecracker was full of smiles and excitement as we played around with a couple different outfits and props.  I loved her captivating blue eyes and that her favorite book is Brown Bear!  Look for more photos of this fun session to be added soon!  Aww

A special project I did for myself last spring to play around with make up and lighting with shadows. I loved how these turned out but would have been cool to have a local make up artist to do the make up for me instead of doing it myself.  It was hard to keep a steady line going and hold a mirror at the same time but I am happy with the results.  I love the sugar skull dramatic make up look, you can have a lot of fun creating the perfect made up face and change up colors and style easily!

Another great day shooting with BomShell Boutique, a women's clothing and accessory boutique in Ocean Pines.  We added a second model today, Andrea Bounds of Andrea Bounds Make Up Artistry.  We had fun playing with new fall looks and colors popping through the trees, I can't wait until our next shoot when the leaves have really popped!!
