Ocean City Pre-teen Daughter Equestrian Photos with Horse | Newark, MD, Dana Marie Photography

This was a gorgeous shoot!  Dad contacted me a couple of months before his teenage daughters birthday and said he wanted to surprise her with something special and that he did!  An evening of pampering, she had her hair and make up done professionally in studio by the amazing Andrea Bounds Make Up Artist.  We took a couple of studio looks before heading to her favorite horse farm for some model shots and then some riding photos of her on her horse!  The sunset was gorgeous and she is a great rider!  I enjoyed watching her jump around the ring, she looked like she was having the time of her life and I hoped that her photos captured that same emotion!  What a great birthday gift for preteen daughters coming into that 14, 15, 16 age range, a photo shoot to make them feel special and show them how beautiful they are on the outside as well as the inside!

BomShell Boutique, Business Model Shoot Goes to the Farm! | Dana Marie Photography

We traded in the heels for boots for a few looks this week at our BomShell Boutique model shoot!  We had a couple of friendly equestrian pals visit us while shooting!  A huge thank you to Krista Brooks for hosting us out on her farm, Whispering Acres this week for our shoot.  The steady rains the day before didn't keep us girls from having a good time and getting our shoot done.  I loved the beautiful fencing, gorgeous luscious green grass and pretty wildflowers in the field.  Shooting in full high sun was no challenge for us girls, it was a great time!  Can't wait to go back and do it again!

A girl and her horses!  We loved coming out to visit with Krista Brooks during a recent BomShell Boutique Shoot in Berlin, MD.  She showed us around and we got to meet her babies, Cowboy & Bad Boy.   I loved how sweet Cowboy was to his mama and came over at the sound of her voice!  The lighting was harsh as we were shooting at 11am but I was pretty happy with the shots we got and was able to compensate the dark shadows with some fill flash, reflection and compensation in Photoshop.

Happy Birthday Little Miss!  You may recognize her from the stables at Bay Point if you have children who attend lessons there with Mallory or Jessica.  Loved meeting her spunky little self in the studio for birthday photos, this sweet little chicky just turned 2 and has he coolest cowgirl boots around!  A girl after my own heart for sure!  I loved incorporating the pony into her birthday photos, I knew that would make them really special for Momma!
