This session was everything.  When Tom called me with the idea to surprise his bride of 50 years with a vow renewal during their sunset beach vacation photos I was tickled!  He was so excited to do this for her and their pastor would be flying in that afternoon to be a part of the surprise.  We started to take the beach portraits as we would be and suddenly after several portraits their pastor walked up onto the beach carrying her bouquet and Tom's boutonnière.  She was completely and utterly surprised and squealed in delight at the sight of him!  When she realized it was a set up for a vow renewal she was just over the moon!  She turned back to see all of her grandchildren on their knee holding her ring and Tom standing next to them asking her to marry him again!   To make it more special, her sister who was her maid of honor 50 years ago stood beside her on the beach during the vow renewal.  The whole thing was precious and completely made my summer.  This here is marriage goals for sure!  Once I had mailed out a thank you gift and delivered their digital gallery I received the sweetest voicemail from Tom thanking me for their experience on the beach and photos, this right here is why I love doing what I do!

Beach Summer Vacation Family Photos in Ocean City, MD {S} Family | Dana Marie Photography

This fun family met me on the beach to take fun beach family photos just before sunset during a dreamy evening in August.  We had a good time letting the kids play on the lifeguard stand and on the edge of the shore while we took photos of them being natural.  It was a great evening to spend out near the water and I was really blessed to spend time with each of them.

This family is so fun to see on the beaches of Ocean City each year.  Every year the three families come together for vacation and call me for beach family portraits of them together on the beach.  I love the colors they choose for their portrait sessions and it is so fun to watch the kids grow year after year.  I am completely blessed to have families trust me with their beach vacation memories and especially so to those who do it year after year with me.   What was really cool about this particular evening is that during the portrait session one of the gentleman proposed to his girlfriend right in front of everyone and they had no idea what was about to go down!  I absolutely love what I do and getting to share these precious memories with clients.

What a glorious night on Assateague Beach for maternity photos.  We started on the shore and caught some amazing backlit sun shots and walked along the beach before ending on the bayside and dipping our toes in the water and getting a little wet.  We had a great time playing with the flawy gown and cool breeze, the wind gave us the right amount of movement to pull off some fun shots!  Congratulations to this beautiful new mama to be, I wish her the best of luck with the rest of her pregnancy, she came all the way to Ocean City for her beach maternity photos before baby comes.
