Sunrise Surprise!  It was an eventful morning on the beach, I sitting alone with my camera just "casually shooting the sunrise" as this beautiful couple was to take a seat behind me.  Here I sit, alone, quiet when into the scene comes a couple of men who I am pretty sure haven't been to bed yet!  They clearly wanted to make some new friends on the beach that morning and this soon to be potential groom and I aced through the banter and pulled off a surprise beach proposal as the sun peaked over the horizon.  It was gorgeous and she was over the moon at the proposal her man had pulled off for her!  Congratulations to the two of you and may you have a lifetime of happiness together!

Man's best friend!  Meet Roscoe, this sweet guy is up there in dog years and has lost most of his hearing.  Friendly as can be and just lovable, I was excited to spend an evening with him and his owner, Russell Hammond of Russell T Hammond Surveying down at Assateague on the Eastern Shore of MD.

This stunning senior was so much fun to photograph at the fields and waterfront property of James Farm in Ocean View, DE.  She is a Stephen Decatur High School senior and when she described what she envisioned for her senior photos I knew just the place!  We had a lot of fun making the trip over and photographing her playing in her books in the grassy field before making the long hike through the woods to get to the waterfront property.  We made it to the beach just as the sun was setting and it was spectacular!

This little lady has some serious moves!  When she told me she was a dancer on the phone my mind raced with all the fun things we could do with beach sunsets and cool lighting for her senior portraits.  We met on the beaches of Assateague and shot some posed portraits right on the beach and near the dunes.  We moved the session over to the bayside and caught a gorgeous sunset over the bay followed by some fun dancing backlit shots.  I put my speed lights right into the water to capture these gorgeous images and was ecstatic with the results.

This fun family met me on the beach to take fun beach family photos just before sunset during a dreamy evening in August.  We had a good time letting the kids play on the lifeguard stand and on the edge of the shore while we took photos of them being natural.  It was a great evening to spend out near the water and I was really blessed to spend time with each of them.

What a way to pull off a surprise!  These guys were coming to me with a big extended family for photos and he gave her the surprise of her life right at the end of the session!  He proposed on the beach and she certainly said yes!  The family cheered and everyone was full of tears and excitement.  He called me a week ahead of time and booked me for additional time for the proposal and go right into an engagement shoot since he knew she would be dressed for photos already!  Everything went off just perfectly and she left one happy girl!!!
